Hart awarded SRA designation

Suzanne H. Hart has been awarded the senior residential appraiser, or SRA, designation for appraisers involved in the valuation and analysis of residential real estate by the Appraisal Institute. SRAs have an advanced level of expertise and experience in the valuation of single-family homes, condominium, land and residential income properties of up to four units.

The SRA designation is earned upon the successful completion of a graduate-level curriculum, which includes a written demonstration appraisal report and the completion of a minimum of 3,000 hours of qualifying experience. Also, designees must abide by both the appraisal profession’s Uniform Standards of Professional Practice and the Appraisal Institute’s Standards of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics.


Easley opens financial planning office

Taylor Easley, CFP, has established Easley & Associates, an independent firm located at 75-5660 Kopiko St., Kailua-Kona. The group specializes in serving the wealth management needs of professional athletes and other high-profile clients throughout the world. Securities are offered through Raymond James Financial Services Inc., a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities Investor Protection Corp.

Easley’s financial services career spans more than 13 years and includes extensive experience with major firms. Prior to establishing Easley & Associates, he served as a financial adviser with both Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley.

A graduate with honors of the University of Mississippi, Easley earned a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance and managerial finance. In addition, he holds a certified financial planner certification conferred by the College of Financial Planning.


Co-op to discuss shared use kitchen

Kona Producers Cooperative will hold a public meeting to discuss the feasibility of a commercial, shared use kitchen in Honalo in part of the building where the Hawaii Food Bank operates.

The purpose of the meeting is to gauge the community interest and commitment to a shared use kitchen in South Kona and to answer any questions the public may have concerning the proposed project.
