Bintliff signing her book on Saturday

Author Shay Bintliff will conduct a book signing at 1 p.m. Saturday at Borders in Kailua-Kona.

All proceeds from the sale of the book “Soular Energy” will go to Camp Anuenue, the summer camp on Oahu for children with cancer.


Tropical Fruit Growers meeting on Monday

The Hawaii Tropical Fruit Growers-West Hawaii meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the University of Hawaii Cooperative Extension Service office in Kainaliu.

Brian Lievens will discuss aquaponic systems for fruit orchards. Ken Love will also discuss new grant opportunities for area growers.

Members are asked to bring fruit for sampling. Nonmembers are welcome to attend.
