KTA’s ‘Mistletoe Mele’ features local entertainers
Andy Bumatai, Keahiwai, Jon Yamasato with Lopaka Colon and David Kamakahi perform at KTA Super Stores’ “Mistletoe Mele” on Dec. 8 at the Palace Theater in Hilo at 7 p.m. and Dec. 9 at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort at 7 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased for $20 or go to KTA Super Stores and buy one ticket and get the second free with the purchase five participating products from Coca-Cola, Del Monte or ConAgra Foods.
UpCountry Pet Center moves to new location
UpCountry Pet Center has moved to Kailua-Kona. It is located now at 75-159 Lunapule Road, No. 3, Walua Plaza. The telephone number is 329-0880.
The shop offers one-stop shopping for a new pet and pet supplies. Other services offered include grooming, boarding, pet massage, healings and psychic readings. Monthly grieving gatherings to help with the loss of the family pet also are offered.
UpCountry Pet Center is a small business locally owned by Donna Russo and Paulette Thomas and home of the Puppy Swap Meet.
Vendor spots available for April plant sale
Waimea Outdoor Circle’s annual plant sale will be held April 28 at Kuhio Hale, Hawaiian Homes Hall, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is North Hawaii’s biggest plant sale, bringing together more than 20 well known vendors who will be featuring a wide variety of plants, shrubs and trees. The Waimea Outdoor Circle will be staffing a “plant doctor” booth where information will be available from master gardeners to help buyers select the right plants for specific growing conditions. The vendors will also be available to assist purchasers.
A garden craft fair will be set up on the lawn featuring garden art, yard and garden items, planters, pots and trellises.
