Book store hosting authors on Nov. 8
Kona Bay Books will host local authors Craig Elevitch and Baron R. Birtcher at a book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 in its Kona store at 74-5487 Kaiwi St.
A short list of books by the prolific writer and photographer Elevitch includes “The Overstory Book: Cultivating Connections with Trees,” “Pathways to Abundant Gardens: A Pictorial Guide to Successful Organic Growing” “Traditional Trees of Pacific Islands” and “Growing Koa: A Hawaiian Legacy Tree.” Each of these books provides gardening and other information accompanied by photographs.
Birtcher is the author of three books in his Mike Travis series set against the backdrop of Hawaii. “Roadhouse Blues” and “Ruby Tuesday” were both Los Angeles Times and IMBA bestsellers while “Angel Falls” was recently released (2008).
