Landscapers’ group meeting on Nov. 22

The Hawaii Island Landscape Association holds its annual social mixer and membership drive from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 22 at Huli Sue’s BBQ restaurant in Waimea. Tim Mann, of Friendly Aquaponics Farm in Hamakua, will present information on his sustainable farming operation using a unique combination of aquaculture and hydroponics. President of the statewide Landscape Industry Council of Hawaii, Boyd Ready will also be present to discuss the goals and activities of council.

An assortment of pupu dishes prepared by Huli Sue’s will be offered. Drinks will be available at a no-host bar. Huli Sue’s is at 64-957 Mamalahoa Highway just east of Waimea town.

The event is free to members as well as those who wish to join the association. For information on membership, call 323-9848.
