Harley appointed resort manager
Ilse Harley has been promoted to resort manager for the 243-room Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.
The announcement was made by Robert Whitfield, general manager of the AAA Five Diamond resort. Harley is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the resort, including the rooms, food and beverage, and engineering divisions.
Harley brings more than 19 years of hospitality industry experience to Hualalai, 15 years of which has been with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. She was most recently director of rooms at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. Prior to that, she worked at the company’s properties in New York, Atlanta and Boston.
Born in Ohio, Harley has a degree in hotel restaurant and travel from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is part of the master-planned 865-acre Hualalai Resort. It is 36 low-rise ocean view bungalows and was named “No. 1 Hotel in Hawaii” by Travel and Leisure and “No. 1 Resort in the United States” by Zagat.
