Waimea hospital MRI accredited

North Hawaii Community Hospital’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging program has earned accreditation from the American College of Radiology.

The MRI Accreditation Program “involves the acquisition of clinical and phantom images and corresponding data for each magnet.”


Bed and breakfast hosts Tuesday concert

Dragonfly Ranch, a bed and breakfast and spa in Captain Cook, is hosting the band Anela performing for a Dragonfly Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse/Solstice/Celebration at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The public is invited to attend the concert of harps, keyboard, drums and singing. The group has agreed to accept donations — suggesting $15 to $25.

Skin care is topic for Kona Krew meeting

Marah Hardt, independent consultant with Arbonne International, will speak about “Skin and Body Care That’s Better for You and the Planet” focusing on how to match skin care needs with a budget, while also doing good for the environment on Dec. 29.

The event is hosted by the Kona Krew chapter of Business Network International which meets from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. at Island Naturals on Kaiwi Street in Kailua-Kona. Visitors are welcome. There is no fee to attend.
