Kona Coast Shopping Center is scheduling two free event-filled days at its Christmas celebration.
On Dec. 11, starting at 10 a.m., will be keiki Christmas crafts and candy canes. Performances from Kahikina’s ukulele class, Hula Na Kaikamahine O Keakua Kie Kie, Kealakehe High School Dance Company and Kealakehe Intermediate Chorus also are planned.
On Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are keiki photos with Santa. Live entertainment from SONG (Aloha Teen Theatre performance) and West Hawaii Dance Academy is planned.
The center is the official drop off site for Lokahi 2010. Lokahi tree names are available for donations; bring a new unwrapped gift to Jamba Juice.
Organization’s director speaking to Kona group
Bill Billock, Big Island area director of Business Network International Hawaii, will be speaking about the organization at the Kona Krew chapter of Business Network International which meets from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Island Naturals on Kaiwi Street in Kailua-Kona. Visitors are welcome.
There is no fee to attend this event.

Lanihau announces its holiday events
Santa and his friends will be at Lanihau Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 11 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 18. Both days will be loaded with holiday events for the whole family. There will be free arts and crafts for the keiki by Kona Ace Hardware, free goodie bags filled with holiday merchant specials and gifts for the first 100 keiki to visit Santa, holiday entertainment, holiday craft fair and a drawing to win a stocking full of toys. On Dec. 18, KWXX will have its annual treasure chest giveaway.
This year, Lanihau Center will be helping four non-profit organizations — The Salvation Army, Jonathan Dale Miller Foundation, Kona Task Force on Feeding The Hungry’s Meet & Eat Program And The Neighborhood Place Of Kona — fulfill Christmas wishes for the families they serve. The public an visit their angel wreaths at the center and help make Christmas a little brighter to those in need this season.
