c Kapahukula Kale Voorhees, 28, of Kealakekua, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced Jan. 9 to pay $974 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time.

c Christopher Don Pilawski, 44, of Kailua-Kona, pleaded no contest Jan. 12 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced to pay $937 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

c Nelson Villarin Labiano, 37, of Kealakekua, pleaded no contest Jan. 12 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced to pay $437 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time and his license was revoked.

c Rufus Haaheo Duarte Jr., 38, of Holualoa, pleaded no contest Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant and driving with a license previously suspended for a driving under the influence conviction. He was sentenced to pay $724 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He was sentenced to pay $687 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

c Roxcsan K. Kaluna, 57, of Naalehu, pleaded guilty Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of drugs, inattention to driving and refusal to submit to a breath, blood or urine test. She was sentenced to pay $444 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time and his license was revoked.
