HONOKAA — Chancis Fernandez scored 16 of her 17 points in the second half, and Tiana Tabac hit two big free throws to lift Hawaii Prep over Honokaa 43-39 in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division II girls basketball game Tuesday.
The two teams are now even in point differential in the BIIF standings. The first two tiebreakers are head-to-head and point differential.
HPA holds the third tiebreaker, least points allowed, if the teams finish the season tied in the standings.
Leahi Lindsey added 16 points for Ka Makani (6-2).
Precious Chong scored 16 points, and Hunter Liftee had 12 points to lead the Dragons (6-3). Honokaa won the JV game 33-30.

— Konawaena 75, Kealakehe 2: Junior guard Melissa Simon scored a game-high 16 points for the visiting Wildcats (7-0).
Senior guard Lia Galdeira added 15 points, junior guard Hoku Liftee chipped in 14 and senior forward Makayla Awa had 12. The Waveriders fell to 2-6.
In JV action, Konawaena beat Kealakehe 52-19.

Aliyah Pana and Raevyn Kaupu each scored 11 points to lead Hilo (4-4). Hilo won the JV game 58-24.
