Senior guard Leahi Lindsey scored a game-high 17 points as Hawaii Prep won its third straight game, beating Kealakehe 55-17 Friday in Waimea.

Sophomore guard Chancis Fernandez added 13 points for Ka Makani (5-2), which jumped out to a 19-2 advantage after one quarter.

Taylor Mitchell led Kealakehe (2-5) with six points.

In the JV game, HPA beat Kealakehe 54-25 behind Tiana Reynolds and Ula Brostek, who scored 25 and 18 points, respectively.

Jessica Lloyd paced the Waveriders with eight points.

— Honokaa 49, Kohala 29: Sophomore center Hunter Liftee scored a game-high 17 points, and senior Precious Chong added 10 for the visiting Dragons, who improved to 5-2.

Sophomore Hauoli Sproat-Lancaster led the Cowgirls (2-5) with nine points, and senior Jovi Antonio had seven.

In the JV game, freshman Halana Bertelmann-Makanani fueled Honokaa with 14 points in a 43-20 victory.

Sophomore Mohala Kaholoaa-Kumukoa and freshman Tomiko Coito scored nine and eight points, respectively, for Kohala.

— Keaau 59, Pahoa 21: Senior guard Jacy Pagala scored 21 points to lead the host Cougars (2-5).

Randi Estrada and Maedina Ongais-Kilaulani added 14 and 12, respectively.

Randi Berinobis’ eight points paced the Daggers (1-6).

— Waiakea 51, Hilo 38: Tricia Amuimuia, a 5-foot-10 senior power forward, and junior center Daven Namohala-Roloos each scored 11 points to lead Waiakea. Ciera Pacheco, a senior guard, had nine points, and senior guard Alyssa Ferreira added six.

Aliyah Pana led Hilo with 10 points, and Amber Vaughn scored nine.

Waiakea won the JV game 43-39. Vanessa Ignacio led Waiakea with 19 points, and Grace Kalili scored nine.

For Hilo, Kayla Okimoto led the way with 27, including a school record eight 3-pointers, and Kanoe Brickwood added seven.
