A 22-year-old Kailua-Kona man is in police custody in connection with two reported robberies earlier this month in the Kona District.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of two counts first-degree robbery at 2:10 p.m. Thursday at the Kona Hawaiian Village on Alii Drive, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The arrest stems from a Jan. 5 reported robbery in the Kaloko Light Industrial Area and a Jan. 12 reported robbery at the Keauhou Store in Holualoa, according to police. No injuries were reported in either incident.

A 41-year-old Kailua-Kona man, Roger Rasmussen, was charged on Sunday with being an accomplice to the Keauhou Store robbery, according to police.
