Montessori school plans open house
Hawaii Montessori Schools’ Kona Campus invites the public to an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Participants will have an opportunity to visit the classrooms of toddler (ages 15 to 36 months) and primary (ages 3 to 6 years) programs, meet current families, learn about the school and its programs including financial aid opportunities, and meet faculty members and administrators.
Hawaii Montessori Schools has been part of the West Hawaii community since 1980. The school provides quality education for children ages 15 months through 6 years of age using the principles and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori. The classroom environments allow children to develop at their own speed, according to each child’s own capacities in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Learning takes place through the child’s own discovery and experience.
For more information, contact Angeline Geldhof, executive director, or Maya Wheaton, campus director, at 329-0700 or email kona@hawaiimontessori.org.
