The team said Friday that Hansen has not yet decided whether to accept the offer. No replacement has been named.
Pitching coach Rick Honeycutt, third base coach Tim Wallach, first base coach Davey Lopes, bench coach Trey Hillman and bullpen coach Ken Howell will return in 2013. Wallach is being interviewed for the vacant Boston Red Sox managerial job.
Hansen played 11 seasons for the Dodgers in two different stints.
Rangers reliever Adams having surgery
ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers say reliever Mike Adams will have surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, a numbing sensation that sidelined him the last week of the season.
Adams, who can become a free agent, is set for surgery Thursday in Dallas.
The team said All-Star starter Matt Harrison had successful Lasik surgery Thursday. Catcher Mike Napoli, another pending free agent, is set to have the eye procedure next week.
Harrison had a rib removed during surgery in 2009 after being diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, when a bone in the upper body presses against a nerve, causing numbness and tingling in the fingers.
