c Hawaii 8, Cal State-Bakersfield 1: Kaia Parnaby earned her 31st win of the season with nine strikeouts over six innings, and the Rainbow Wahine won a midweek game in Bakersfield, Calif., on Tuesday.

Parnaby allowed one run on five hits to improve to 31-4, one win shy of the Melissa Coogan’s single-season school record of 32 set in 2003.

Catcher Kayla Wartner went 3-for-4 including a home run with three RBIs to lead Hawaii (34-8) at the plate. Second baseman Jazmine Zamora went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Kristina Akiona hit a pinch-hit solo home run in the top of the seventh for her first collegiate home run.

The Roadrunners fell to 13-26 on the season.

c Homecoming announced: The University of Hawaii’s homecoming game will be against Colorado State on Oct. 26, the school announced Tuesday.

Also, the university announced the Nov. 16 game against San Diego State will be Retro Night.

The season finale against Army on Nov. 30 will be designated Military Night.
