Hawaii PONY tournament starts Saturday in Hilo
The 2012 Hawaii Region PONY Baseball Tournament will be held Saturday through July 11 at Wong and Victor stadiums in Hilo.
Eight teams — the Hilo Blue All-Stars, Kona, Kauai, Maui and four Oahu clubs — will battle for the title in this double-elimination tournament.
The first game on Saturday will start at 11:30 a.m. The host Hilo Blue All-Stars will play that evening at 7 p.m.
The tournament brackets will be determined Friday.
The Hawaii Region champion will earn a berth in the upcoming Western Regional in California.
