Yoshio Takemoto, 92, of Ninole died March 10, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ninole, he was retired from the Mauna Kea Sugar Company, was an independent sugar cane grower, vegetable farmer and a member of Honohina Hongwanji Mission.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. March 20, 2013 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a memorial service at 5 p.m. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by sons, Morris (Roxanne) Takemoto of Hilo, Norman (Tweedy) Takemoto of Ninole and Cary Takemoto of Ninole; daughter, Susan (John Bishop) Takemoto of Boulder, Colo.; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
