Sumie Hashimoto, 84, of Hilo died Jan. 22, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born on Jan. 14, 1929, in Hilo, she was a housewife.
Private services were held. The family requests no flowers or monetary offerings.
She is survived by son, Russell Hashimoto of Hilo; daughter, Karen Shikuma of Hilo; sister, Yuriko Erlinger of Belleville, Ill.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
