Loren Hiromu Mochida, 66, of Keaau died June 14, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 24, 1947, in Honokaa, he was the director of agricultural operations for W.H. Shipman Ltd., a Vietnam War Army veteran and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Waiakea Lions Club, Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii, Hawaii Papaya Industry Association, Big Island Bird Hunters Club and Keaau Ag Lots Community Association.
Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. July 6 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Ann Mochida of Keaau; son, Mark (Jeanette) Mochida of Mililani, Oahu; mother, Margaret Mochida of Honokaa; brothers, Aldon (Susan) Mochida of Wailuku, Maui, Ivan (Stephanie Lee) Mochida of Paukaa; nieces and nephews.
