La Verne Figueira Rapoza, 67, of Hilo died Feb. 26, 2013, at her residence. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker, retired retail store manager and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. (March 13 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. March 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Harold Rapoza Sr. of Hilo; daughter, Tammy (Mark) Flores of Oahu; sons, Harold (Michele) Rapoza Jr. of Dallas, Darren (Melanie) Rapoza of Oahu; brothers, Leslie (Shirley) Figueira and Elmer Figueira, both of Hilo; sister, MaryAnn Mandaloniz of Hilo; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
