John Ferreira Jr.
John Julius Ferreira Jr., 73, of Naalehu, formerly of Honolulu, died Feb. 9, 2013, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the ILWU Operating Engineers, Local 3.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. March 2 at Honokaa Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at the Honokaa Catholic Church Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Roberta Ferreira of Naalehu; daughters, Kelly (Gregory) Anderson of Waikoloa, Darnelle (Ray Costa) Ferreira and Lianne (Thomas) Aukai, both of Honolulu, Richelle (Brian) Paiva of Honokaa; sister, Esther Vierra of Waimanalo, Oahu; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
