Hisae Nagano
Hisae “Stella” Nagano, 88, of Hilo, formerly of Pepeekeo, died Aug. 19 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born July 21, 1924, in Keanae, Maui, she was a homemaker and member of Honomu Hongwanji Mission and Buddhist Women’s Association and Kulaimano Nutrition Center.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. Aug. 28 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no monetary gifts.
She is survived by son, Arthur (Olivia Esquivel) Nagano, of San Francisco; daughters, Eileen (Elmer) Yada, of Pepeekeo, Sandra (James) Hamano, of Hilo; sisters, Satsuki (Tadashi) Shiraishi, of Hilo, Kasumi Tawara, of San Francisco; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
