George Henry Kelly, 68, of Pahoa, died July 5 at his home. Born April 29, 1945, in Great Falls, Mont., he was a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran and the Commander for the The Veterans of Foreign Wars/ USA.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 12 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 for a service followed by an 11 a.m. service at Puna Baptist Church in Pahoa. A celebration of life will follow at VFW Post 3830. The family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Marlyn Kelly, of Pahoa; daughters, Michelle (James) Anderson and Lynn Lamm, both of Anchorage, Alaska; sons, Jim (Diane) Curley, of Wasilla, Alaska, and John Massagee, of New Mexico; father, Walter Kelly, of Montana; brothers, Keith (Mary) Rothbauer and Al (Nancy) Rothbauer, both of Washington; sister, Mary (Tony) Gentile, of New Mexico; and three grandchildren.
