David Rosario, 73, of Hilo died Feb. 14, 2013, at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Jan. 20, 1940, in Olaa, he retired as a supervisor from the former Hilo Coast Sugar Plantation and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Puna Indians and Umauma Softball Teams andHawaii Army Air National Guard and anArmy veteran.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Aileen Rosario of Hilo; sons, Richard (Renee) Rosario of Waimea, Darren (Sandi) Rosario of Papaikou; daughter, Denise Rosario of Hilo; hanai daughter, Laroma Parker of Honolulu; brothers, Alvin (Lena) Pavao of San Diego, Milton (Paula) Pavao of Keaau, Alan (Audrey) Meyers of Pahoa; sisters, Pamela Pavao of Keaau, Julie Medeiros of Kurtistown; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
