Chalmers Hamasaki

Dr. Chalmers Ken Hamasaki, 75, of Hilo, died Aug. 20 at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was an ear, nose and throat physician and served as a navigator in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Private services will be held. Family requests no monetary gifts.

He is survived by wife, Elaine; brothers, Roland, Ernest; sisters, Dahlia Hamada, Ruby Shintani, Thelma Yasuhara.
