Camelo Delaries

Camelo Robert Delaries, 88, of Holualoa died Feb. 4, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 6, 1924, in Holualoa, he was road construction foreman for J.M. Tanaka and Grace Brothers, a coffee farmer, member of Operators Engineers No. 3 and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Feb. 23 at Solid Rock Ministries, 75-5699 Kopiko St., Kailua-Kona, for a 10 a.m. service followed by luncheon and fellowship at the Kona Imin Center in Holualoa. Burial is at 2 p.m. at Kona Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Esther Delaries of Keauhou; sons, Harvey (Suzanne) Delaries and Vernen (Mollie) Delaries, both of Keauhou, Warren (Lucy) Delaries of Kealakehe; daughters, Ann (Clifford) Madawi of Keauhou, Marlene Stockwell of Madera, Calif., Anita (Bill Warden) Delaries of Johns Creek, Ga.; brother, Mike (Gertrude) Delaries of Keauhou; sisters, Della Tapiro , Celestina Alika and Donna Drummond, all of Hilo, Magdalena (Lorenzo) Pucong of Honaunau, Agnes (Kenneth) Kihara of Honalo; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
