A Kailua-Kona couple is slated to go on trial in October stemming from the death of their 10-month-old daughter on Nov. 26.
Twenty-eight-year-old Collins Manago and 22-year-old Chevone Estoy-Keka, both of Kailua-Kona, face charges of manslaughter and second-degree reckless endangering in connection with the death of the infant and allegedly leaving their 3-year-old son unattended in a tub, according to 3rd Circuit Court records.
Trial for the two was set for 8 a.m. Oct. 2 before 3rd Circuit Court Judge Elizabeth Strance in Kealakekua.
Manago and Estoy-Keka were indicted July 16 by a Kona grand jury. They have pleaded not guilty to the offenses.
