The U.S. Geological Service reported a magnitude-3.1 earthquake Saturday morning.
According to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, the 7:31 a.m. earthquake was centered seven miles west-northwest of Kukuihaele near Waipio Valley. The quake was about 17 miles deep. No tsunami was generated.
