Fire burns house in HOVE

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Friday morning structure fire in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates.

Responding to a 9:47 a.m. alarm, firefighters found an 800-square-foot, single-story structure on Paradise Parkway engulfed in flames.

The Hawaii Fire Department said the structure owner was standing outside on the side of the road. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 11:20 a.m. and out by 1:08 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The department estimated damage at $120,000.
