Fair brings bright lights, safety measures

The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation has implemented temporary traffic safety measures at the park until the fair wraps up. Traffic is now being diverted to the beach access road at the north end of Kuakini Highway.
Parks and Recreation asks all motorists to abide by a temporary 5 mph speed limit while driving along the park’s beach access road. This speed limit will be in effect until the park closes for the day Sept. 10.
