Protesters begin their walk toward downtown Hilo from the Kamehameha statue for March in March to Evict Monsanto Saturday morning. The Big Island was the third island in the state to march against Monsanto leasing land in Hawaii to grow genetically modified food. After the march, the Hawaii GMO Justice Coalition event also featured entertainment, a non-GMO potluck and information tables free to the community at Mo’oheau Bandstand.
