The Hawaii County Council will resume its briefings on the Department of Environmental Management’s long-term plans and contracts at the April 8 Environmental Management Committee meeting.
The council is scheduled to hear a presentation on the department’s mulch and composting plans at its Agriculture, Water & Energy Sustainability Committee meeting on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the council is scheduled to consider approving a 10-year contract for handling of organic waste and compost. An article Tuesday was unclear on the scheduling of these updates.
