HELCO customers in Kona, Waimea, Hamakua and Hilo were left without power briefly Tuesday afternoon after Kamoa Wind Farm tripped off-line, interrupting power.
The utility said 11,566 customers were affected and the power was restored within three minutes. The cause of the outage is under investigation.
