Employees of IHS worked with Waipio Valley Community Circle volunteers to clear overgrowth from a county property located at the entrance to Waipio Valley on June 7. The volunteers helped expose the land’s natural topography which will assist the community in its planning process for the site’s future use as an education center.
Waipio Valley Community Circle is part of the Friends of the Future family of programs. Nonprofit Friends of the Future works to improve the quality of life for community members and preserve cultural anchors for all who live, work and play on Hawaii Island.
