The 2012-13 officers and directors of the Kailua-Kona and Kaloko Branch Lions clubs were recently installed during a ceremony conducted by Past District Governor Ralph Jackson at the Elks Club in Kailua-Kona.
Kailua-Kona president for the coming year is Paul Cooley. Other officers are Dick Brumm, first vice president; John Byrd, second vice president; Chuck Maguire, third vice president; Carla Brown, secretary; Lil Maguire, treasurer; Flash Libero, tail twister; Tony Dias, lion tamer; Lynda Roark, membership chairwoman; and Dick Scritchfield, Lee Johnson, Bob Goodwin and Lona Johnson, directors. Sharon Cornair was inducted as a new member.
Diandra Dickinson was installed as president of the Kaloko branch club. She will be assisted by Lani Kahawaii, secretary; Susanne Bullard, treasurer and membership chairwoman; and Duane Bullard, tail twister. Liaison officer is Paul Cooley of the Kailua-Kona club.
The Kaloko branch is positioning the club to be chartered as a regular Lions Club in the coming year. To achieve this goal, the following new members were inducted — Shawn Sato, Rodney Sato, Jared Keanaaina, Sanylyn Keanaaina, Scott Lanier, Mya Hubbs, Lynn Howard, Otis Howard, Tommy Mason and Yvette Mason. Efforts continue to recruit the members needed to be chartered.
