Thomas “Tommy” Edward Ravey, 62, of Hilo died Dec. 19, 2012 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a Navy veteran, worked for Big Island Stevedores and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. Jan. 4 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo, for a 10 a.m. service at 10 a.m. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by sons, Keola (Angie) Ravey of Hilo, Kaainoa (Arika Sanchez) Ravey of New Mexico; daughters, Leilani (Kahealani Wailani Nihipali) Ravey and Lehua (Blake Ragocos) Ravey, both of Hilo; mother, Annie Ravey of Kalapana; sisters, Joanne (Tad) Tamala, Leilani Gonsalves, Wini (Mike) Hooser, Netta (Giles) Nakamoto, Ipo (Poncho Sampedro) Carvalho; brothers, Kalani (Jan) Ravey and Felix Ravey, both of Honolulu; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
