Joint project

Students from Michelle Obregon’s graphic arts class at Konawaena High School and the Twinkling Stars 4-H Club recently completed the painting of a community mural to be hung permanently at Konawaena Elementary School. The project started in September and was completed by the end of March.

As a symbol of aloha to the Sandy Hook Elementary School victims, 20 flowers have been added to the mural in honor of the children who lost their lives in the December shooting; six bees were added, symbolizing the teachers.
