Isabel “Bella” Hannah Pua, 69, of Hilo, died Oct. 19 at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Sept. 9, 1943, in Hilo, she was a retired education assistant from Waiakea High School and member of the Reinstated Lawful Hawaiian Government, Gospel of Salvation and Door of Faith.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may again call at 8 a.m. Nov. 9 at the mortuary for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park Lehua Section. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, George Pua Sr. of Hilo; daughters, Geola (Derrick) Cardoza and Gina (Mark) Gomes, both of Hilo; sons, George (Kimberly) Pua Jr. and Kyle (Lisa) Pua, both of Hilo, Lopaka (Heather) Pua of Hawaiian Shores; sisters, Eunice Hulama and Rachel Kuilipule, both of Hilo; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
