The Kailua Village Artists will feature watercolorist Felicia Fry in September. Fry is the last original member and co-founder of the cooperative gallery Kailua Village Artists Inc.
Fry graduated with honors from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and furthered her training in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. While working in advertising, she attended the Los Angeles Art Center. Living in San Diego, Fry studied under watercolorist and author Robert Perine.
Fry moved to Kona in 1984. She joined West Hawaii Plein Air Painters two years ago and has enjoyed the challenge of painting in the scenic outdoors.
Fry will be at the gallery to talk story with guests Tuesday, Sept. 6 and 26. The KVA Gallery is located at 75-5729 Alii Drive, Suite C-110 in the Kona Marketplace, across the street from the Kona Inn Shopping Village. The gallery is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
