The Cliff Johns Gallery in Holualoa is celebrating its grand reopening with a reception featuring wood artist Gregg Smith from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Smith’s segmented wood turnings of bowls, vases, urns and other decorative vessels are all one of a kind pieces. His works, created primarily of Hawaiian hardwoods, built and then shaped into art objects, can become the finishing touch to a well-decorated home or office.
Now under the ownership of Alexis Johns, the gallery continues to showcase art created by island woodworkers.
