Vendors sought for November craft fair
Craft and food vendors are invited to participate in the 25th annual Christmas Craft “EG”stravaganza on Nov. 16 and 17 at the Edith Kanakaole Multipurpose Stadium in Hilo.
The Christmas tradition is the largest Christmas craft fair on the Big Island, according to organizers, with vendors from throughout the state and California. Craft applications are available in Hilo at Burgado’s Fine Woods in the Hata Building and in Kailua-Kona at Pikake Beads on Alii Drive.

Lipps & Son is one of ‘Fastest 50’
Lipps & Son has been recognized by Pacific Business News as one of Hawaii’s “Fastest 50” Growing Private Companies. The firm ranked second in the state with 717.16 percent growth in revenue between 2009 and 2011.

New yoga center opens in September
Dana Strang and SaiFon Woozley have collaborated to open a state-of-the-art yoga center offering a wide variety of yoga styles from hot Vinyasa to candlelight resorative and meditation.
With the doors of Yoga Hale opening Sept. 15, Kona will have a professional yoga studio with classes available for all interested in a healthy lifestyle. Yoga Hale will offer a minimum of five classes per day for all levels and all ages starting at 6 months old.
Strang and Woozley combined have over three decades of yoga experience, both practicing and instructing all over the world. Woozley has been on the Big Island for more than nine years, instructing at the original Yoga Hale while Strang has been on island eight years.

Kau Kau Kailua coming Sept. 16-23
Kailua Village Business Improvement District is working with Kona eateries to promote the third annual Kau Kau Kailua Restaurant Week from Sept. 16 through 23. Participating restaurants will offer specially crafted dinner menus throughout the week priced at $20, $30 or $40 per person. Additional values will be offered at quick service dining establishments.
Anheuser Busch Sales of Hawaii, Y. Hata & Co. Ltd. and West Hawaii Today are partnering with the Kailua Village Business Improvement District as supporting sponsors of Kau Kau Kailua Restaurant Week. The event officially begins Sept. 16 in conjunction with Kokua Kailua, when Alii Drive becomes a pedestrian-only marketplace.

Balloon store sets grand opening
Just Balloons Hawaii is now open on Alapa Street in the Old Industrial Area and will be having its grand opening from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
The event will include hourly giveaways, ice cream from The Sweet Ride and popcorn and cotton candy from Sunshine Party Rental. Sunshine the Clown will be giving away free balloons for keiki. Those attending can also sign up for the grand prize giveway of a party package worth $350.
