Benny Maltezo
Benny Agcaoili Maltezo, 54, of Keaau died Dec. 22, 2012, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 9, 1958, in Lubnac, Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a nursery worker for Floral Resources and member of the Church of the Holy Apostles in Hilo, ILWU Local 142 and Vintarinians of Hawaii.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. Jan. 11 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo, for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Jan. 12 at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 1407 Kapiolani St., Hilo, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Marybel Maltezo of Keaau; sons, Earl Maltezo of Hilo, Derick Maltezo of Keaau; brothers, Bonifacio Maltezo Jr. of the Philippines, Elisio (Elsie) Maltezo of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Larida Gamiao of Pepeekeo, Esther (John) Vidad of Porterville, Calif.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
