Emotional freedom workshop planned
Dr. Hanalei Roberts, a naturopathic physician, presents an emotional freedom technique workshop from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Tutu’s House in Waimea.
Emotional health is a crucial part of physical health and stress resilience. The emotional freedom technique is a psychological acupressure technique, which can be effectively used in the management of emotional health. It uses simple tapping upon meridians with the fingertips while voicing positive affirmations.
Participants will be provided with an overview, instructions and practice time so they can begin using the technique right away.
There are no fees for Tutu’s House programs, but tax-deductible donations are welcome.
Co-Dependents group meets Monday
Kona Co-Dependents Anonymous Women’s meeting is held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. every Monday at the Unity Church sanctuary, 75-5722 Hanama Place, Kailua-Kona.
Co-Dependents Anony-mous is a fellowship of people whose common problem is a difficulty in maintaining functional relationships. Members share their experiences, strengths and hopes with one another and seek solutions to common problems, helping others to recover in the process. The only requirement for membership is a desire for healthy and fulfilling relationships with others and themselves.
The group relies upon the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, adapted for the group’s purposes from Alcoholics Anonymous, for knowledge and wisdom. The group is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
