Book club meets Tuesday in Keauhou
The Second Tuesday Book Club meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kona Stories in Keauhou Shopping Center. The club will discuss “Rules of Civility” by Amor Towles.
The story begins with 25-year-old Katey Kontent in a Greenwich Village jazz bar with her boardinghouse roommate in 1937, stretching $3 as far as it will go. Tinker Grey, a handsome banker, sits at a neighboring table. The chance encounter leads to a yearlong journey taking Kontent from a Wall Street secretarial pool toward the upper echelon of New York society.
Attendees are asked to read the book in advance of the meeting and come prepared for discussion. Bring a favorite pupu or beverage to share. For more information, call Brenda or Joy at 324-0350.
