Woman charged in Hilo armed robbery

Big Island police late Thursday charged a 23 year-old Hilo woman with multiple offenses stemming from a reported armed robbery in downtown Hilo.

Tia Nohealani Menino was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree terroristic threatening, use of a firearm in commission of a separate felony, third-degree theft, two counts fourth-degree theft, failure to have a place to keep an unloaded firearm, failure to have a permit to acquire a firearm, and failure to comply with mandatory registration, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Her bail was set at $28.750.
