The Hawaii state Senate president Shan S. Tsutsui will be lieutenant governor after Brian Schatz was appointed to U.S. Senate. Gov. Neil Abercrombie announced Thursday Maui Dist. 5 Sen. Tsutsui will accept the lieutenant governor position.
Schatz was today sworn in to the seat formerly held by the late Sen. Daniel Inouye.
