Missing teens sought

Big Island police are searching for two East Hawaii teens who were reported missing.

Monica Carvalho, 17, of Pahoa, has been missing since Sunday evening. She is described Caucasian, 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

Lexis Jenkins, 17, was last seen Saturday in Keaau on Saturday. She is described as African-American, 5-foot-5, 105 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts should call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
