Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Tuesday morning structure fire in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision of Puna.

Responding to the 9:52 a.m. alarm, firefighters found a 200-square-foot wooden structure burnt to the ground, according to the Hawaii Fire Department. Neighbors reported the structure was vacant at the time of the fire, which was declared out at 11:15 a.m.

Fire officials estimated damage to the structure to be between $4,000 and $5,000.
