Alan Suzuki

Alan Mitsuru Suzuki, 69, of Honokaa, died July 7, 2017, at his residence. Born April 14, 1948, in Honolulu, he was a retired accountant for Certified Grocers in California and a U.S. Army veteran.

Private service to be held. Condolences to the family may be sent to P.O. Box 1435, Honokaa, HI 96727.

He is survived by wife, Angela Suzuki, of Honokaa; son, Kenji Suzuki, of Honokaa; and sister, Jane (Dean) Akita, of Honolulu.

Claire Riblett

Claire Leland Riblett, 62, of Ocean View, died July 25, 2017. Born Oct. 16, 1954, in Lincoln, Nebraska, he worked doing maintenance of commercial property.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Laura; daughter, Codee Cruz, of Ocean View; sister Carol (Del) Hart, of Apache Junction, Arizona; and one grandchild.

Rosario Alarcon

Rosario Medina Alarcon, 97, of Honaunau, died July 29, 2017, at her residence. Born Jan. 14, 1920, in Mexico City, Mexico, she was a homemaker.

Private services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by daughters, Rosario (Michael) Cutting, of Prescott, Arizona, Ana (Andrew) Fellinjer, of Sugarland, Texas, Irene (Charles) Hart, of Houston, Texas, and Patricia (Richard) Missler, of Honaunau; son, Alfredo (Karen) Alarcon, of Long Beach, California; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Clark Brand

Clark Richard Brand, 61, of Kailua-Kona, died July 14, 2017, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 12, 1955, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, he was an auto mechanic.

Private services were held.

He is survived by brother, William Brand of San Jose, California; a niece and nephew.

Edna Francisco

Edna “Ella” Fook Tai Francisco, 85, of Hawi, died July 2, 2017, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born March 23, 1932, in Makapala, she was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Private services were held.

She is survived by sons, Michael (Lee Ann) Ashimine, Kyle Ashimine, and Robin (Leslie) Ashimine, all of Kohala; daughters, Lorene Uehara, of Mililani, Oahu, and Kimberly Ashimine, of Honolulu; brother, Lester (Carol) Ching, of Kohala; sisters, Ernestine Young and Pearl Granger, both of Honolulu, Helen (Ernest) Baptist, of Kaneohe, Oahu, Blossom (Casey) Boyett, of Waimea; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronald Rickard

Ronald Sterling Rickard, 63, of Hilo, died June 27, 2017, in Hilo. He was born on Aug. 31, 1953, in Hilo.

Private services were held.

He is survived by mother, Christina Andrews, of Hilo; sisters, Pauline Romero, of Tucson, Arizona, and Donna Akau and Susan Damo, both of Hilo; Rich Rickard, of Hilo, and Francis Richard, of Hawaiian Paradise Park; Numerous nieces and nephews.
