HAGATNA, Guam — A Guam-based federal credit union will pay $75,000 to settle allegations that an employee was sexually harassed by a credit union member.
HAGATNA, Guam — A Guam-based federal credit union will pay $75,000 to settle allegations that an employee was sexually harassed by a credit union member.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Tuesday that Coast 360 Federal Credit Union is agreeing to the settlement without admitting any liability.
The employee filed a charge with the agency in 2012, alleging he was sexual harassed by the male credit union member in 2011.
The agency found reasonable cause for the alleged sexual harassment.
The settlement avoids litigation and includes measures to prevent future harassment incidents. The credit union is agreeing to measures including employee training and appointing an internal officer to review and revise the credit union’s anti-harassment policy.
Credit union officials didn’t immediately respond to a phone message seeking comment.
